"Europe is the most important region in volume terms for the Precision group," says Philippe Cuoc, Buying and Supply Chain Director with Precision Valves, "with a range of products being made in each of our factories. Today, we are a world leader in our field of activity. Our priority is the development of customer loyalty and satisfaction. To respond to customer expectation, in terms of reduced delays and increased production, we wanted to equip our production sites with a planning and organisational solution which would enable us to improve the visibility of our workload in the medium and long term as well as in a shorter timeframe.
"We chose Preactor because of its functional response in terms of planning and operations, as well as for its capacity to develop a core model solution for our company. Preactor's international presence, which means that we will be able to roll out the solution in different countries, also helped".
"The Preactor solution will interface with Infor, our Group’s chosen ERP system," adds Philippe Cuoc. "The core model solution, which will take into account the majority of constraints on our production, will be developed in England and then quickly rolled out to Germany and France in the first instance."
With an international market share of more than 30% and a turnover of more than $300 million, Precision Valves intends to improve its productivity quickly and to have better visibility of its workloads. The company wants to reduce its stock levels and its backlogs as well as improve its productivity and better its client service.
